Join Sprouts Cooking Club & Americano for an Exclusive Tasting Menu and Cocktail Hours!

Join us for an exclusive evening of decadence and generosity as we celebrate downtown SF’s most celebrated restaurants and Sprouts Chef-in-training program. Executive Chefs from Boulevard, One Market, The Battery, and Americano will each design a plate and pairing for an extravagant tasting menu. They will design their course around the season’s harvest and their favorite wineries. Guests are invited to a private cocktail hour before dinner, featuring cocktails by Americano and hors d’oeuvres by Prospect. The evening’s extravagance will be served right on Americano’s patio, warmed by a glowing view of the Bay, SF’s finest restaurants, and a cause that matters. Your entire evening will be donated to a young adult in need of a new start.

Executive Chef Joshua Perez of Americano
Chef Josua Perez will be hosting our culinary soiree at his restaurant right on the Embarcadero. A native of San Francisco, Josua has worked at some of the most well-known restaurants in San Francisco, such as Firefly and Zuni Cafe. He joined the team at Americano in 2007 as sous chef and has since been appointed Executive Chef in 2014.


Chef de Cuisine Dana Younkin of Boulevard
Dana Younkin hails from St. Paul, Minnesota.  Her culinary journey began when she was fifteen years old and would help her mother at their family-owned café, Swede Hollow. She attended the culinary arts program at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco and soon after joined Boulevard, where she is the evening Chef de Cuisine.


Executive Chef Nicolai Lipscomb of the Battery
Chef Nicolai Lipscomb entered the culinary world in Boston at No. 9 Park, and later relocated to San Francisco, where he worked at Chez Papa Resto and Fifth Floor. He has also worked in some of the top restaurants in Spain, where he spent a year before becoming Chef de Cuisine at Fifth Floor. He is now Executive Chef at San Francisco’s exclusive club, the Battery.


Executive Chef Pam Mazzola of Prospect
Hailing from Denver where she cooked in many of the city’s top kitchens, Pam Mazzola came to SF to be part of the opening staff of Boulevard. She is a co-executive chef and co-author with Oakes on the James Beard Award-nominated Boulevard Cookbook. As chef/partner in Prospect, she works closely with the team, guiding the overall direction of the restaurant.


Chef Mark Dommen of One Market
For over 20 years, Chef Mark Dommen has strived to blend the freshest ingredients from California with the classic French techniques he mastered during his training with some of the world’s most recognized culinary masters. He started his culinary career at Fleur de Lys in San Francisco and then continured on to work in acclaimed restaurants in New York and San Francisco. He has been with One Market since 2004.

Sprouts offers disadvantaged Bay Area youth the opportunity to change their lives around by teaching them the essential vocational skills needed to land a job in the restaurant industry. For 6 months, Chef-in-training interns cook alongside some of the best chefs in the Bay-Area, right inside their restaurants, all the while receiving a stipend for their labor. Your ticket will help fund a Chef-in-training apprentice!
