Kind Words from Our Community

Being a chef is a responsibility. It is the responsibility of transferring information from one generation to another.

Of Intern Rafael Arechiga: "Although Rafael didn't come from the nicest neighborhood, it was nice to see that he finally found a home in the kitchen. I can tell that the kitchen means a lot more than a job to Rafael because he's cooking for more than just himself."

"I volunteered with Sprouts this past summer and loved it! I work in the nutrition field and so I really enjoyed seeing kids learn the skills needed to get creative with food and live a healthy life. The kids are exposed to amazing chefs in the community and have so many first-rate experiences. The Sprouts team puts in an incredible amount of effort behind the scenes."

Of Sprouts’ 2022 Benefit Gala at Mister Jiu’s: “Some of the Bay Area’s most notable culinary luminaries lent their star power to help nonprofit Sprouts Chef Training reach its fundraising goals at its March 13 gala… The event was both a celebration of San Francisco’s vibrant culinary scene as well as the inspiring graduates of the Sprouts Chef Training Program.”

I am so supportive of their Chef Training program, which works to bring youth into our restaurants and organic farms, one youth, one restaurant, and one farm at a time.
